Meet Miriam, the dresser

Meet Miriam, the dresser.

I guess you can call her a proper kind of gal.  She prefers tea over coffee and PBS over Fox.

She is a member of the regional curling club and surprising, a heck of a thrower.  She attends a weekly book club, but keeps it secret that she prefers Danielle Steele romances over the prescribed historic novels.

She considers herself a bit of a foodie, and never misses a chance to catch the syndicated show, The French Chef, as Julia Child is one of her heroes.  She lives a comfortable lifestyle, but shares it with no one (nor any animal friends), although she has a beautiful garden that would rival any master gardener.

She immensely enjoys her job as the curator the local historic society and plans on working until her feet can no longer hold her up.

As you can see, Miriam came to me already beautiful.  The grain would be such a shame to cover up.  So, I thought by adding the little bit of color to the trim (Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint) would only help to highlight the wood.  Also, a little "peek-a-boo" color doesn't hurt (my own blend of chalk paint).

Her dimensions are 42" wide, 21" deep, and 37 1/2" high.  You can find her in my space at Robin's Egg, in Milford, NH.

Have a fabulous day!

  16. Beautiful! I think you really perked her up without covering the beautiful grain of the wood, excellent job, I never would have thought of it.
